Prom Night Make-up

One of the more exciting occasions in a teenage girl's life is getting ready for her prom. For the snapshots to be absolutely brilliant, the make-up for prom has to be flawless. Get help with your prom make-up, if you are thinking of doing it yourself. Using this guide, you can put on make-up at home and your prom date and your friends will be impressed.

Begin with a fresh face and balanced skin. Your cosmetics for the prom will look better if you begin with a really good foundation. Wash and dry your face. Next, put on your foundation. This can be a powder or liquid. Do this to your whole face. You must be certain not to leave any lines by blending the foundation into your skin with a make-up sponge. Foundation supports an even skin color and conceals any spots, freckles, or mismatched coloration.

Apply rouge to the cheeks. You can make your cheeks stand out by adding some blush to your prom make-up. Pick a blush color that suits your skin tone and dress. Sweep blush just under your cheek bones. (If you don't know where the right area is to put blush, make a fish face and put the blush on your cheeks in the hollow areas.) Applying a couple of strokes should be enough.

Create great eyes. You want everyone to notice how gorgeous your prom make-up is, but you still want to look pretty natural. Do not try to make a feature of both your eyes and lips, it is too much. A more natural approach with a focus on the eye make-up will have you looking great.

First, use some concealer to even out the skin color around your eyes. Put some on the bottom part of your eyes and in the creases. Mix it in with your finger. Put on the eye shadow afterward. Choosing darker colors makes for a smokey effect. Choose three tones of color and start with the palest color on the lower part of your lid, then the middle tone across your entire lid. Finish with the darkest color above that, all the way up to your eyebrows. Use your finger or a brush to blend it in.

Your prom make-up should include some eyeliner. Use a dark liner with a thin applicator brush - you don't want to go overboard on this step. Work from the inside area of your upper eye to the outside, reaching to the line of your lashes. You should begin at the middle of the bottom of your eye and move out, doing this again for the other eye.

Being prom night, you should probably also curl your eye lashes. Squeeze your lashes in the curler for a few seconds. After that put on mascara. It is an evening look, so choose brown or black mascara. When applying mascara you need to begin at the eyelash root and drag the brush out, moving the brush from side to side to make sure you get it all on your lashes. Apply to top and bottom of both eyes.

Complete with some lipstick. Your prom make-up wouldn't be perfect without some lipstick. Select an understated natural color (be sure to keep in mind, you do not ever want to compete with your eye make-up). Use lip liner and line your upper lips with liquid liner. Make sure you 'kiss' a tissue to blot any excess lipstick.
Lip gloss will finish off your facial make-up for your prom night. This will help to your lips to remain a luscious appearance all night long - plus it will keep them hydrated. It is a good idea to have lipstick and gloss with you during prom night for touch-ups.

Think about using a little glitter. After all, prom night is one time to shine, literally!
Think about putting some glitter on your with your prom make-up routine. Sprinkle a small amount on your face and neck area. Or try a sparkling powder on your face to give a subtle hint of glamour to your prom look.

Be sure that your prom make-up is blended well. Make sure you apply your make-up, and then wash your hands before you put on your prom dress in order to avoid getting make-up or other stains on it. You can now relax and enjoy yourself feeling certain that your make-up looks really perfect!
